Consistent sizing, fabric has some give (good)

"I wore size XL, this style, for over 10 years. Pants last for years and do not lose shape. For medical reasons, I went from XL to L to M size in less than 2 years. I ordered M before I had lost enough weight. The M fit everywhere but was too tight in the crotch so I kept it for months, hoping to lose more weight. Every few months I tried on the M. Last week they fit better. The crotch area was still snug but I was going to wear them anyway because the L was just too loose. I found out the crotch area does have some give after wearing a couple of hours and more give after wearing a couple of times. This is a good thing for me. The M pants are fine now. If you are in this situation, just keep trying on the pants every once in a while."
