"I have looked for cotton socks that don't cost $25-$35 per pair. Although these socks are only 49% cotton the price was reasonable. I am an older woman who retains fluid above my ankles and cannot wear any socks that have tight elastic as they leave big indentations. These socks have a small elastic at the top which I cut out. Removing the elastic did not damage the sock at all. I take an 8-9 shoe these socks are 4-12 and I still had plenty of room to spare. So someone with smaller feet might find them too large. Hope this review helps those that have similar issues. I am very pleased with my purchase."
